Balayage adapts well to most colors and textures. Fine, thick, curly, or straight hair can benefit from freehand placement tailored to your hair. During consultation we assess your base color and goals to recommend the best approach for natural results.
Arrive with clean, dry hair free of heavy styling products. Bring inspiration photos and be prepared to discuss color history and maintenance. If you have recent chemical services, mention them so we can plan timing and protect hair health.
Balayage typically requires fewer touch-ups than foil highlights—expect refreshing toners and trims every three to four months. Maintenance depends on your desired brightness and growth, but a yearly refresh of color placement may be recommended for long-term dimension.
We recommend sulfate-free shampoos, color-safe conditioners, and a purple or blue-toned shampoo for brass control. Weekly deep-conditioning masks and heat protectant sprays protect tone and integrity. Ask your stylist about Olaplex or in-salon treatments for added bond maintenance.
