Get answers to common questions about Gel Pedicure.
Most Gel Pedicures last two to four weeks depending on nail growth and lifestyle. Proper aftercare and avoiding harsh chemicals help extend wear and prevent premature chipping.
Gel pedicures are generally safe, but we screen for infections, open wounds, and severe nail issues. For sensitive skin we use hypoallergenic products and patch tests as needed before proceeding.
At-home removal can damage nails if done incorrectly. Professional removal is recommended to avoid excessive filing. If removing at home, soak in acetone, gently lift softened gel, then moisturize nails and cuticles.
Appointments typically run 45 to 75 minutes depending on add-ons and nail condition. Standard service includes soak, exfoliation, nail shaping, cuticle care, massage, gel application, and curing time.
Many pregnant or nursing clients safely receive gel pedicures. We recommend good ventilation and informing your technician. Low-chemical alternatives and extra ventilation are available for comfort and safety.
Avoid long soaks for 24 to 48 hours and wear protective shoes to prevent chipping. Moisturize daily, use cuticle oil, and schedule touch-ups every two to four weeks to maintain color and nail health.
